Help please?
Let me ask y’all some questions about my current exhaust setup.
My setup: 2012 Camaro 1lt Custom 2.5” Catless downpipes > 2.5” pipe > Magnaflow Resonated X-Pipe (Part#11386) > 2.5” Pipe > Stock Resonators > 2.5” Pipe > 2.5” In - 4” Out Stainless Exhaust Tips Questions: 1. Why isn’t my exhaust crazy loud and actually pretty quiet? 2. Why isn’t my exhaust note deeper? It still has that ricey high pitch while under a big load sound. (I’m not expecting a v8 note but dang this is not deep at all.) 3. Does my system have “too much” resonance? Is the Resonated X-Pipe plus Stock Resonators too much? 4. What should I change? I was thinking about upgrading to 3” pipe all the way through.

I would start by removing the stock resonators since you have the X res.

I was thinking ab doing this but also read that the stock resonators don’t do very much to the exhaust sound’s tone or volume all it pretty much does is remove certain frequencies to prevent droning. Is that correct? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Power loss aside (because it's still too much for an N/A V6), 3" would give the car that crazy trombone sound you can hear on Nissan V6 vehicles. You can try removing the resonators but the "crazy loud" you're looking for is probably from more power, not just removing more exhaust bits, though I'm not sure how loud you want because I know my car can be heard distinctly from like half a mile away.
Especially the tone portion, it's still a 60 degree V6. It will always sound like other 60 degree V6s, i.e. Nissan VQ motors, Genesis 3.8, Mustang 3.7, and so on. If you want a different tone you probably need to add an axle back, like an MRT v2 or Borla or something. At wide open it won't be much quieter if it is at all. Did you modify the stock downpipes or did you get new ones? And did you replace the exhaust portions between and after the stock resonators? Cause that's 2.25" stock.

What do you mean by “60 degree V6”? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Right, I was just asking to verify that you had changed everything from stock except the resonators.
The LFX is a 60 degree V6. The bank angle (the V) is 60 degrees. It is for balance purposes and packaging and blah blah blah they just all sound very similar. The car is never going to be wicked loud at idle and it's going to have that silly trumpet sound at wide open, which gets worse if you make the pipes larger. If you want more volume you could try MACE cams though, would definitely move more air.

I went and deleted my stock resonators today and I’m quite happy with the idle and even WOT except right at 4K rpm it distorts and vibrates. Here’s a clip! I’m thinking now that I got around the tone I’m looking for with a lot of added volume, I’ll throw some Flowmaster super 10s? https://youtu.be/t5DQEVp__wI Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good to hear. I think you should browse youtube and listen to clips of various exhaust systems. Personally I hate how flowmasters sound in general but on the V6s it's even worse so I can't say I would recommend it, again, personally. I'd go MRT v2 or Borla ATAK or Solo MR resonators or something like that to maintain the kind of exotic tone the 6 naturally has.
