Anyone with A10 issues?
I am thinking about getting a a10 1LE. I am curious if anyone with higher miles has had any issues with the transmission dropping gears, becoming sluggish, ect ect. This car will be driven a lot so I want to see any issues that are out there.. I have already had a 1LE in Manual and loved it.
Thanks. |

the only issue I have is the 3-4 or 4-3 bump. from what I read it's not everyone (or not everyone reports it), and for me it's only in manual mode.
having said that, When I go looking for a zle, I'll be looking for a10 over m6 |

Mine's been flawless, as have nearly all...
Here's a rundown: The only common "issue" with the ZL1 A10 is the 3-4 and 4-3 shift at low throttle when using paddles when the tranny is cold... it sometimes shifts before the rev-match is completely done, bucking the car slightly. It's a cold paddles thing, it doesn't do it when warm or in auto mode. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...php?p=10624418 Another was a in some cars from the initial late 2016 early 2017 production run were delivered with too much fluid from the factory and a few triggered over-temp on track. But that was easily addressed and hasn't been an issue since. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=517431 A few other folks here have reported other random rare problems, but they either broke them by exceeding their ratings with 1200+ HP, or were one of a few/far-between rare bad luck quality issues like Tfluid pump failures (maybe 3 units in 10,000+ rare?). IMO, overall the A10 has been one of the better/best Trannies GM has ever made. |

It's really early (640 miles) but the A10 has a real chance of being the best. Before 500 miles, I knew the A8 was garbage. |

The A10 was extensively tested by GM and Ford. Its shared so not surprising it is good. The A8 is done shit GM threw together in the interim to get better gas mileage out of their performance cars.

No issues at 12 K. This is a tranny for combat operations. Meaning full blown, let the tranny do it’s deal at WOT. Any flappy paddle gear changes going to your town’s 7/11 for a Red Bull will not be OMG fast. These are the facts.
