2014 1LE and LSA

Looking to get 700rwhp with LSA kit. Which cam do you guys recommend? What other fuel mods would be needed? Planning on staying on pump gas, but might throw in flex fuel. Car already NA BTR stg 4 cam and supporting mods.

Car is a fun weekend car only.

I maxed out at 650 whp on the LSA. Had to go to E85 to get over 700. I have a Lingenfelter GT9 cam. Lots of lift, many will recommend something with a bit less lift and more duration. You will also need some serious pulley changes. I'm running 2.55/9.5 and 17 lbs boost. Again, most will recommend against that.

What did you do with fuel? Injectors/pump?

I'm not sure what you need for the lsa i don't know it's limitations. I'm installing a rough idle blower cam from jannetty zl1 pump, fpcm, jms bap, id1050x injectors. I'll be adding meth. Should get me to 700-725whp i'm thinking

Honestly.... it’s just for your occasional street pulls. No racing, just the rush of speed.

You will never use 700 hp for occasional street pulls. I'd turn down the expectations just a bit and slap a LSA on with cam, lifters, injectors, FPCM and maybe a BAP. Going 700+ whp on a LSA will require a lot more and will impact driveability and your SBE. Enjoy it with 600+.

I am at around 600WHP now and it is pretty nasty. If you are running street tires you will have no traction in 1st, fight traction in 2nd pretty bad. You will need trailing arms, toe links, possibly cradle bushings to get rid of the wheel hop. I am on street/track tires that last about 10k miles and get pretty good traction now. I am going for 700whp to compete with some folks around here, otherwise I would probably leave it alone. These engine are pretty safe up to 800whp on a good tune before you need piston/rod upgrades. I agree with Vegas on going with LSA cam fuel upgrades to get you around 600 and be happy for street if you aren't racing.

We can do 700rwhp+ with an LSA but it would cost some money to get it there. You'd want a ported blower, 103, heads and cam and so on. It would also be brutal on the stock bottom end. If you aren't planning on a built short block (we've got some nice options there too) I'd recommend keeping it under 650rwhp. The stock bottom end just isn't made to handle that power for very long.

As for the fuel system 650 can be done a lot easier then 700 again. Your 1LE pump will get you there with a bap or fpcm and you'll probably want an injector around 1000cc. If you want to run E85 you'll want at least a 1300cc injector and you'll need a serious pump. The DSX auxiliary pump at a minimum or a true dual pump set up.

I’ve experienced 600rwhp on my C6Z..... been there done that. Just always wanted to hit 700 on something. I was thinking of just buying a new C7Z or 6th gen ZL1, and building that, but don’t really want another car loan.
