Did anyone on here get the painted engine cover?

I ordered it originally but dealer cancelled it because it was holding up the car.

Was going to, but I wanted a different color other than Black. Since they wouldn't do it, I didn't get it. Now I want to do a custom one...but to tell you the truth, I'd rather spend the money on something else, like an exhaust system.

We gave up waiting on ours so we had this one done by a forum dealer. It is much better IMO.

It should not have held the car from production. It was a dealer intstalled item. These are shipped seperatly. I ordered it, but it did not come with the car. I recieved it about 3-4 weeks later.

I've seen several people quoted as much, if not more, to have it done by a professional shop. I didn't order my car with one but the buyer of this car backed out when it showed so his loss was my gain. My original order still isn't slated to be built yet.

Our orginal order had it but it was put on constraint by Chevy so we dropped it so as not to hold up anything. Even though it was a dealer installed option, if it was on constraint it may hold up having the order pulled. We ordered it seperately right after our car came in and it came in a little over a week later.
