Z28 for Drifting ?????

Hello,

there are some Professional Drifters in Austria who actually re-build
a 2015 Chevrolet Z28 for a Drift Car !!!!!!!!

Take a look:

https://youtu.be/Wz0tPOdohh4

Now there are a lot of Parts for sale, but only as a package for 15000 Euros.

Here:

https://www.gibgummi.net/camaro-z28/

Thats crazy.......to sell this Parts as a Package is difficult, because there are
just about 3 - 4 Z28 in Germany and probably 4 Z28 in Switzerland.
I wish them good luck !

Cheers

Roger

So they stripped the car, to turn it into a drift car, and are selling the parts? Should be easy to sell the parts other than glass and body panels. All interchangeable with any 5th gen Camaro

I don't speak German, but what about it is modified for drifting?

It looks like someone put a Supercharger on it and changed the dry-sump tank.... everything else look stockish?

I think the 1st vid is it being shown to highlight how good of shape the car is in, for the parts they're selling.

This is showing what's stripped off it for sale now

Oh, I understand. Didn't think about that. This is the "Look what we got to tear apart" video.

The car had 4000 miles on the clock. They stript the car to loose wight.
They need about 1400 kg.

The engine and supercharger should be left largely original.
The chassis is completely replaced because you need more angles of attack at the front, namely 70 degrees instead of 45 degrees.

Here in Europe it is not easy to sell Z28 parts because there are only a few Z28, these parts for a Gen.5 Camaro would be interesting, but sadly they only sell all parts together for 15k Euros, which is a lot.

Cheers
Roger

Sure hate to see such a beautiful automobile turned into a freak show attraction but it is THEIR money. Seems like they took off plenty of the Z/28 unique parts. Wish they would have chosen a vehicle with higher production numbers. I'll just pretend it was in a wreck and totaled.

Crazy Hans. Well I guess that's one less Z/28 on the list...1799 total.
If they are selling all the parts, what does it look like now? Kinda want to see a finished product. The last part of the video still looks like all was intact. Saw the list and it's just about everything body related...they only used engine and chassis.

Ugh, it is their money, but it makes me a bit sick to my stomach. It also makes me wish I had the money to buy a rare European collector car so I could torch cut it apart to build a hot dog cart, cause that would make the same amount of sense.

I know how you feel. They should of taken a Mustang and chopped it up instead. Then I wouldn't care.

Here to make you feel better. Last month due to c-19 I had some time and money to buy a rare 1955 Mercedes Alloy Gullwing. Your wish came true, I took it apart and sold everything to scrap metal recycle and used the alloy body to make this hot dog cart. Hope you like it. You want to buy a hand made hot dog cart for 4.5 mil?

I’ll split it but I want 2nd shift on 5th ave. 1st shift is really too quiet right now.
Such a good idea.
