BTR stage 3 plus 3.91 or 4.10 or4.11

What are advantages or disadvantages of these combinations

To start with I have the TSP Stage 3

Now the gears..
There isnt much difference between the 3.91 and the 4.10. I have 3.91. I chose to go 3.91 because it's cheaper, more readily available, and oem if you buy the GM gears. They drop in super easy with little to no shimming or anything.

Some of the 4.10/4.11 gears out there had a bad rap and I decided it wasnt enough of a difference to me to try it. They cost quite a bit more too.

Numbers to numbers the lower of the two are better for cammed cars but to me the other stuff outweighed that.

I love my car the way it is set up. I daily drive it with the exception of huge storms or blizzards.

Personally I'd just stick to the 3.91s. If you're really into drag racing at the track that's a different story.

How are 3.91’s for daily driving? And at a higher horsepower 600+ rwp are they still good?

I opted not to do the gears due to the HP i fight traction enough as is. I'll stick with stock.

I want to send my rear end to jre and have them rebuild it. My installer said new gears would wake car up. I'm assuming they would be quicker off line but I don't want to sacrifice top end. It's not a DD couple times a month

My car puts out 500rwhp and I love the gears. Traction in these cars is an issue though. Wider tires and other things can help. I feel like they should have came with the 3.91s in the m6 cars from the factory.

Go with 3.91. I mean it's impossible not to lose top end going with a lower gear but i don't imagine you are trying to do 200mph. 3.91s work great at the track and are still reasonable on the street everyone seems to love them. They are readily available.

1LE cars did come with 3.91 gears.

See above comment in this post. GM makes 3.91 gears as a swap in because it is a GM available part.

Not what I was talking about. The 1LE has a different transmission gear set entirely and final drive ratio ends up being similar.

I like the 3.91 gears. Got them to help acceleration out of turns doing autocross. And they get the car going on the street, especially if you have list bottom end torque from a big cam. It helps even with my little stage one cam. Penalties are only 200 rpm higher freeway rpm and at 65-80 mph on open roads, 1 mpg loss
