Hey every one, I’m looking at a hurst short throw shifter for my ss, I’ve been looking into the installation of this part and it seems quite extensive, for my little garage. Has anyone had the shifter installed by a mechanic? How much did they charge you?

On a scale of 1 to 10 for DIYers, this is a 10. I think I read of one person on this forum having a shop install his but I can't remember exactly what he was charged...I think it was over $500 (and that might be low). I installed mine myself and it took all weekend; maybe 8 hrs total work time. I'm positive a quality shop can do it a lot faster...maybe 4 hrs. BTW, I have a custom exhaust so it takes me longer to reassemble it.
