My 2015 Camaro LS Bumper is coming off
I accidently didn't see a park bumper in front of me as I drove to park my car. I usually reverse park, but I was in a rush. And unluckily, I didn't realized that my front bumper was pushing hard against a parking ground concrete bumper until I reversed. I heard a loud rubbing noise and realize that my front bumper is detaching.
Does a body job specialist solder tabs to reattach the front face bumper? I didn't know these Camaros come with a polyurathane plastic type face bumper!!EEEk I am so bummed out. Do I have to replace the whole face bumper now? or can they solder tabs to snap reattach the face? Has anyone gone through this experience/ What are the cost in parts and labor? Can some one please help me with some relieving advice? |

Seems to be common. I bolted mine on, with some nice stainless dome hex head
bolts. |

I think those tabs are repairable. Plastic welding is a thing and some folks are very good at it. But I do notice a crack next to the light in your first picture.

The tab on the sides by the side marker broke off and that's why they stick out. I replaced my bumper cover a short while ago because it had the same issue. I don't know anything about plastic welding so I can't help you there.

Thanks for the info.
I finally decided to just buy a new front bumper face at my local GM parts dealer and have it installed by an expert.I heard of Curb Alert monitoring system that will be installed in my front bumper once I get my new bumper installed to prevent this accident. That is worth the investment! https://www.pfyc.com/GN8106.html |
