Tuning newb questions: what do I need to tweak for cam/headers/supercharger?

I just realized I posted this thread on the wrong forum (I originally posted on camaro6... dang you Tapatalk!) here is what I posted there so hopefully I’ll get more traction here. Thanks!

Hey all, I’m going to be doing a cam swap, then headers, and eventually a supercharger.

I have a mechanic buddy that has HPtuners MVPI and the software, so I’m hoping to be able to use that and just purchase the two GM credits to use it. Is that correct or am I going to need to purchase something else or more credits or what? Their credit system is a bit confusing after reading into it more.

Now, I know I’ll need to adjust the idle speed and get a more consistent air fuel ratio. Temp varies here from 20’s in the winter to low 90s in the summer, and anywhere from 30%-100% humidity. 93 octane is premium. I’ll be tuning for drivability over all out performance, but obviously I want to take advantage of the new hardware. After I complete these three mods, I’ll be taking it to a dyno and having a custom tune done by a professional, but I’ll need to still drive it after each step, and I’ll need to be able to drive it to the tuner.

Does anyone have any pointers on what needs to be adjusted/changed? Or resources that you know if that I can read/watch to get me at least back on the road without any issues after it?

Thanks in advance.

If you stick with the SS2 or SS3 (or similar) cam, you can use the stock tune to get you to the tuner's shop with cam/headers. I doubt it would run safely with a previous tune after installing the supercharger, so I'd be prepared to have it tuned by whoever is installing the supercharger, or ask your tuner for a starter tune to get you there. I understand it gets real tricky with forced induction, but I've not gotten there yet myself.

Since it's a manual transmission, you only need the two credits. If I understand it correctly, you need additional credits if you had an automatic and wanted to tweak the transmission, or if you have a 2017+ because they have special items that need unlocked.

My tuner emailed me a base tune so I could drive to his place. I just had to stay out of the boost.
