Rocker Panel Removal

Anyone on here remove their rocker panels? I'm going to have to take mine off here in the near future, and just wondering if there are any tips or things to look out for when doing it. Thanks.

I removed mine last year and installed a set of zl1 rockers. First and formost, use platic pry tools. Second have extra clips on hand. The chances of removing the rockers without breaking a few or so is very slim. Third patience, patience and more patience when removing. The hardest ones to get loose are below the door hinge area by far. Installing is stupid simple oddly enough. Literally took me less than a minute to install per side. But around 20-30 minutes per side to remove. Below is the link to where I bought my clips. Much cheaper than GM. I went ahead and replaced all of mine just because...and why not? Definitely not planning on removing them again. Do it right the first time and be done for good hopefully.

Perhaps you don't quite understand what Camaro5 is about Gm.. if you don't have any insight, don't waste either of our times.

Good deal Silverado. Appreciate the shared experience. And great thinking about the clips. I will definitely order a bunch!!

Wish I had seen that video beforehand. The guy pretty much sums it up exactly how I removed them and things I encountered while trying to remove. And i just happened to have the exact plastic tool kit he used.

I noticed when I took my front fender liners off that the rocker panels were really wiggly, telling me that a previous owner was a dumbass. Anyone know of any good rocker panels that go good with white?

GM, Ive searched youtube, watched a few videos.. but I was looking for more direct conversation than just watching a video. If you posted a video, I haven't seen it, and if you included it in your reply, It doesn't show on my screen. I'm at work using an old ass version of IE, each thread takes like 2 minutes to load, and videos almost never play. All I see in your reply is a few multicolored squares and the words google is your friend. If you actually did post something and were trying to help, I apologize for getting snippy with you. Whatever it was, I just cant see it.

Guess I've just seen too many people answer with "Did you Search It?"
So, I guess my next step, is to check out this thread with my phone.. since that actually works. Sorry for any grief.

-- And now Ive checked it on my phone, and look at that, a cool ass video!! And.. don't I look like quite the jackass. My apologies bro. Pardon me, while I go smash this computer.

I watched it on my phone. Was a really well thought out, and well spoken video. Had very good insight on how to handle doing the removal. Installation looks super simple. That was in fact, the very sort of info I was looking for. I liked how he even showed which tool worked best.
I also followed Silverados advice and pre-ordered replacement clips in anticipation of a few of them breaking.
