Noise From Center Console area (Transmission)?

Anyone getting a weird noise from the Center Console area on a M6 after 2000 rpms almost sound like a Static sound kinda

No mine does not click like that that's for sure it almost sound like static from the radio but I turned that off and it is coming from the console once I press on the clutch it stops

does it do it when car is not moving? If it does, you can rule out the heat shields or the tranny shifter dust boot, and the tranny.

YES. Exactly what I have had from day one. I can also make it happen at a stand still by revving over 2K ROM.

I got it up on the lift today and looked around. I couldn't see anything out of place or unusual. I did reposition a wire bundle on the passenger side of the car near the tranny that was touching the heat shield. Maybe that was the cause of the noise. I will let you know if the noise went away after I drive it for a few days.

Yeah, you should take it to the dealer. If the sound is like a static sort of noise it could be the clutch disc. Whatever it is it is NOT normal.
