Roll Bar options

What are my roll bar options for NHRA 10.0 certification? I know I'm not going any faster than 10.0 so this bracket suits me fine.

2008 and newer vehicles don't need a cage to go 10.0

I was told that's only on a car that's not modified. Not true?

I've never had a track tell me any different. Tons of non caged cars here running 10s without anything safety related

I’ve had several around Utah area not let me race because I added a supercharger to my ss. If your car is stock you can run 9.99 or slower if you have any mods you need the cage is what the book says pretty much

NHRA certified tracks require a 6 point roll bar for anything after 2008 that is faster than 10.0 or 135 mph.
IHRA tracks require a 6 point roll bar using the old rules. Much slower times.

You may want to double check the rule book to make sure you're good regardless of what you hear on this forum. Or if there's only a few tracks you'll be going to, can ask them directly.

You still planning on driving the car on the street? A head not in a helmet meeting a roll bar can be a bad experience.

I like this!! I'll see how it goes. Atco opens on the 27th. When I make that first 10 second pass if nobody comes over for a look see I should be ok. Other wise a padded roll bar is in my future. At least I have the right valve stems lol

This is correct, you also need a driveshaft loop.

Unless you are running at an IHRA track. Our cars do require a 6 point rollbar with times faster than 11.59 I believe, it could be even slower.

11.49 is where they require it but again, the tracks I race at here in ohio and even one in southeast Michigan doesn't enforce it. I've been running faster than my cert without issue even.

Test and tune nights are the nights to go, if they give you the boot stick with 1/8 mile and work the system
