So I finally drove a 2010 Camaro (2LT, auto w/sunroof, vic red/blk)

On a family (wife, 2yo son) vacation to Miami, I rented a Camaro for 5 days. I was nervous about getting our luggage, stroller, and childseat in, but it all worked out. I wasn't too pleased with the comfort at first--seatbelt pressing down on shoulder. It was only until a few days in to the trip that I realized I need to sit in it like a Camaro and not a truck/suv. After lowering myself and leaning the seat back more (ah yeah), I found the seat-belt to be much more comfortable. Of course, doing this affected visibility (could no longer see the hood), but adjusted to that as well. Power was good with the V6 and steering was very sharp. I want more power (SS me, please), but dunno how much handling I'd loose.

Positives:
+V6 is frickin' sweet. I love the stock sound of both engine and exhaust (there were 6600 miles on the rental).
+ride comfort was nice once adjusted; drove for 7+ hours to Key West and back--no issues
+handling was great
+visability wasn't that bad--just adjust mirrors as you're supposed to on any car
+exterior looks

Negatives:
-Not sure I could get over the claustrophobic feeling for daily driving--maybe Gray interior or sans sunroof would help?
-did not like the leather; felt cheap, warm, which added to ball-sweat
-passenger seat was very weird when using the quick release pull to get the kid in; sometimes it wouldn't stay put until we stopped, got out, and fussed with it; rental issue?
-paint is pretty cheap
-passenger side dash is super lame, but I understand it's not an Audi

Next Steps:
->checkout a manual V6 and manual SS this Spring
->consider a used one since it would just be my toy
->be happy with a 1LT/RS manual V6, CAI, tune, and 3.55 gears?

Final notes:
I could care less about "turning heads", but it didn't happen much in South Florida.
The car definitely needs the 20" wheels, whether SS or RS package on V6. It looks much better (sick, as the kids say) with 'em.
Wife did not like it at all. She understood why I like it and fortunately we have her family truckster paid off; this would just be my toy and possible commuter if I loose my work from home status.

I think I have a love-hate for this car. I know it's not right for me right now, but I can't stop visiting this website daily.
