Lightbulb Nitrous question

So I took out the engine to rebuild it after a spun rod bearing. I was thinking of getting a nitrous system to run a 100 wet shot by summer on everything stock besides a few basic bolt ons. I am in the process of putting back together as we speak but I had a question. If I want to run up to a 200 shot, would gapping the rings for nitrous be enough? If I have the chance to gap them right now might as well, but would it be suitable for daily driving? And is that all I would need for a 200 shot? Or do I still have to upgrade other internals like bottom end or other components? TIA

Basically yes. Thats why I was wondering if to run around 200 shot all I need are gapped piston rings and like plugs? I am going back to stock everything, but most parts are going to be new. Only thing internal that I am keeping stock are piston and rods. Everything else in the block is new but stock.

Don't forget fuel. You are potentially surpassing the limits of a stock fuel pump with a 200HP shot.

They say forged internals are suggested at that level, but progressive shots are easier on the engine than instant and you might get away with 200 that way. How pissed will you be if it blows?

Make sure you use a colder plug and pull timing.

Gapping should help. But while your in there, I'd at least do pistons. Stock are hypereutectic pistons, so watch for knock. Also, the ringlands are not thick. If your tapping off the fuel rail for the wet system, log your afr and fuel pressure. You may get away with it for the 100 shot, but be cautious about the 200. Be sure to check your plugs. Especially #7. You'll be traction limited, so a progressive system will be helpful.
