Year is not getting much better. LOL

Wife was in the way to work this AM and an airplane clocked her at 85mph. She stated there was a driver in front of her weaving bad so she wanted around them.

As everyone her knows if you cruise at 75-78 which is no ticket if you hit the gas 85 is easy to do.

To top it off they tested my illegal tint and said it was illegal. LOL but did not
write her a ticket for it and said do not worry about it.

So, maybe Monday we will start a new year. LOL

I asked an officer once who nabbed me passing a semi on a 2 lane road. I said "Am I not allowed to exceed the speed limit to pass?" He said "no, the speed limit is the speed limit." He let me off with a warning.

Disclaimer: I had just gotten the car I was driving at the time and really didn't know I was going that fast! I've never gotten a speeding ticket. Hope that doesn't change...

No. It's only 15 over. Not a big deal with Erving class.

you might wanna look into it for florida, but here you'd go to court state a precedent case (i forget the name) and the ticket gets thrown out.

if i remember correctly it's something about the officer not being present at the time of the incident.

Florida has one of the most laid back tint laws... how dark is your tint?

20% on sides and back and 55% on the front window. It looks very dark.

The strange part is he pulled out the device and tested the tint and he stated it read 10%.

Here is FL, they are very tough on speeding...so, its her first one in a while so not to worried about it. I have had my share.

Really? There are signs posted on Interstate 5 that aircraft patrol the highway.

When you get 20% tint, the 20% is rating just the tint alone and doesn't factor in the window. Most windows now have some sort of tint to them so you have to add that to the effect of the added tint.

not to mention, their are parts of I-5 that are posted, as stated above, that have stripes painted across the road so they can TIME your speed, then radio/call the CHP below........I lived there a while back......and have seen it done.

That's not hard to bypass. Put a cop in the plane. There, now your case is thrown out.
Besides, isn't that how Cali HP does a lot of ticket handing out on I 15?
