Help, NEED Body Shop Recs!
So.
Had my Camaro for almost 2 weeks, was so excited when I bought it I skipped my flight home for the holidays and drove 700 miles home. Drive was great, had so much fun and got a lot of attention. Got my Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow tires installed when I was home. Took a buddy for a quick ride last Saturday right before I was going to leave to head back to Michigan and he carelessly swung the door open to get out of the car. Now in a car with normal sized doors there would have been no issue, but I guess he didn't realize the Camaro doors are rather longer than the average car. He had PLENTY and I mean PLENTY of room to get out of the car, but he swung it open rather hard to the point where the door would have reached a 90 degree angle a little forcefully, butttt the end of the door hit one of his family's cars parked outside the house. The end of the door is slightly bent in, starting at the crease line running along the side of the camaro going only about 3-4 inches down. I'm pretty upset about it, and I know this thread is useless w/o pics soo I'll take pics in the morning and post them as soon as I can. Haven't had the freakin car more than 2 weeks and it's already damaged. Can anyone recommend an AMAZING body shop in the metro-detroit area? I'll travel as far as I need to, I just want it fixed 100% LIKE NEW. I'm really afraid this isn't possible due to the curve in the door, but I'm praying. Thank's for the help, Joe |

When I hit a deer, it smashed in my drivers side door. They put a whole new door shell on mine (not just the outer skin). Its as good as new now. The insurance quote for the door was $700 to give you an idea. Sorry, don't know any shops in Detroit. Best of luck to you!
