Hot Transmission Tunnel

Hi Guys,

did a quick search but didnt find anything, though wasnt really sure what to search for either.

just as a quick sanity check...

when i was out driving the other day, i noticed the plastic trim around the shifter and more or less the length of the console where the transmission sits below gets rather hot to the touch.

is this just a consequence of the car being stripped out of all insulation etc or is something amiss ?

thanks in advance

It's just the way the car was built.

I haven't noticed that after owning 2 Z/28s. I'll try to check next time I have her out driving (which is every day). Are we talking normal street driving, or track?
