The 2010 has everything under the hood… the 2015 ss has nothing under the hood. Was a clean motor and trans pull…. I need some help here b4 I start pulling the motor from the 2010

steering rack and radiator is different, but you wont have any problems sitting the motor and trans in another camaro unless its missing stuff.

If I’m just pulling the motor and trans from the 2010 meaning wiring and everything and the 2015 rack is in tact. And I’m radiators is still in 2015. Then I should be good to go??? Clean plug and play swap??

I take all that back, i thought you were swapping a 10 ss into a new face lift gen 5. You going to shove gen 4 LSX into a LT 6th gen chassis, that's going to be fun. It will not be plug and play. You will have to really figure it out especially the fueling and how the transmission mounts in. Even the serp accessory style assembly up front will be different. Then you have to harness and do PCM stuff. lol Buy a finished camaro

So yeah, a mostly clean and easy plug and play swap. Are they the same trans? Auto to auto or manual to manual?

If it's an LS3 to L99 body swap or vice versa, you will also need an adapter for the crank sensor since they are different. L99 has a 5 pin crank sensor harness and the LS3 has a 3 pin, otherwise all the reset is identical in regards to wiring...aside from TCM of course.

But if the cars had the same trans originally, it should swap right over. Above it was mentioned that the 2015 has a different rack. It also has electric power steering, while the 2010 has full hydraulic. Not sure how this would affect the swap in relation to the harness.

Thank you for the info. I went to see the 2015…. I don’t think it’s worth the money. Too much work needed for the shell. Looks like I’m stuck with swapping the 2010 motor into a 2011 shell… I really do like that 2014/15 body style tho… if u guys know anyone who is selling a 2014/15 complete shell. Let me know. Prefer black but for the right deal I would consider a diff color. Oh yea…. Clean title
