Check engine light after cai install

Just instaleed my volant cai and I get an engine light today my in laws code reader won't sync up with the car so I don't know what code it is but we think maybe there is some oil from the filter on the maf sensor anyone have any experience with this?

A large auto part place in your area will do a free scan to let you know the code, In my area I use, advance, autozone, and pep boys.

Volant should come with dry filter. If you got the bottom end Volant, it might have an oiled filter. But I bet the code it telling you it is lean on bank 1. Some intakes effect cars differently, and need tuned.

You are probably just running a little lean because of the air it is allowing in. Do you have an exhaust mod? I have seen from 1 to 2 others do the same, that is why I recommend a tune with it (Predator). You can verify all connections are tight and everything is installed correctly. Once that is done, unplug the battery and hook back up to see if the codes clear. If they did you are good. If they do not clear, then you will need a tune most likely.
