Wheel to wheel measurements
Could someone please measure center of front wheel to center of rear wheel on each side and let me know what the number is. This would be on a stock 2010 Camaro SS, L99/a6 with stock 20" wheels. Thank you in advance.

Do you mean wheelbase? Wheel centers front to back are 112.3"

I think something is out of alignment, possibly my rear subframe. Seemed like my right right is slightly back.

Does it drive poorly? Rear toe can shift the wheel front to back, as caster does up front

^^^^ Yes, first get an alignment check and see if that is what's wrong. The rear cradle can move some if the stock rubber mounting bushings are trashed and missing some material, but not too much.

Got an alignment and it looks better. I measured and driver side is 112 1/4" and passenger side is 112 1/2". It drives alright but seems like it tracks itself sometimes.

Looks like you are right in the ball park where you need to be, 112.3 is the factory dimension and you are at 112.25 and 112.50, so it is right there. And as for the tracking of the car when driving, if you have wider than stock wheels and tires these cars have a tendancy to want to "tramline", follow the crown in the road. The wider you go the worse it gets sometimes, depending on the tire you are running.

Thank you. I wasn't sure if that 1/4" difference would cause any problems or issues. Everything lined up and was in the green. The car is completely stock with stock size wheels and tires. The car still seems like it has a mind of it's own. Most of the time it wants to go right but what's odd is sometimes it feels like it wants to go left. Times it feels like it's fighting itelf to go straight. I haven't seen anything wrong, nor did the shop but there's obviously something.

^^^ agreed here! I did the solids on mine, huge difference and NO movement at all, just a bit more noise and a tad harsher ride, but exceptable.

Yeah, might as well do the rear trailing arms and tie rods. Years ago I installed Pfadt Racing solid cradle bushings and their trailing arm/tie rod kit. The arms use poly bushings if I recall. Noise level goes up but the rear was solid on launches, no IRS steering or wheel hop. I don't suggest Pfadt only because of the cost. Since AFE bought them out seems like those parts have doubled from what I paid 11 years ago.

Well that depends on how much money you want to spend and if you are gonna track your car. Mine is a daily and the only thing I did to mine rear suspension wise was the Pfadt 1.25 springs all the way around and the solid Pegasus billet aluminum cradle mounts on the recomendation of Ryan at JDP Motorsports to take care of ANY wheel hop and to really firm up the rear end, and it worked for me. They have a couple of cars they auto cross and time attack, so their knowledge is good. Also I installed a Driveshaft Shop 3.5 inch 1 pc aluminum driveshaft to really get the TQ to the wheels, and that worked too!! I didn't see the need to go any further in my suspension as these mods took care of all the slop/hop I was experiencing. Solid as a rock now for me, and my Camaro is a daily.
