I just got a check engine light on my 2012 camaro ss 45th anniversary. It came on after I put my oil catch can on but it has always said tighten gas cap. I have gotten 2 new gas caps and it still has this check engine light. Here is the picture of the code please help. Name: IMG_1096.jpg

Check your evap lines and connections at the intake manifold to make sure you don't have a cracked line or connector. It says "small leak" on your pic. The lines are hard plastic ond could crack. if you bump them too hard. Also check to make sure the catch can is connected properly.

Another thing to check is to make sure you don't have a nick on the top of your filler neck where the gas cap seals. I have seen many occasions where people are careless putting the pump nozzle in the filler neck. It doesn't take a big ding to set off a p0442.
