*HELP* 416 LS9 2010 Camaro SS *Service Stabilitrack Issues*
Hi Everyone,
I am new to the group. I have a 2010 Camaro 1SS 6MT with forged internals, 416 stroker kit, and LS9 blower on top. Issue: When the car moves I get Service stabilitrack with all traction lights on. Sometimes I also get the BRAKE and ABS light on with them as well. It is usually a variation of 3 different lights that stay on at one time then go away. I have been trying to diagnose my issue with stabilitrack and ABS for about a year now. I have replaced the hub and sensor and get proper readings on those from the scan tool. I also know it is not related to the engine. On the live data with the scan tool the ABS Pump Motor always reads 0V. The many codes I get are listed below and can also be found in the images. Thanks in advance any help would be great! I am desperate ![]() I am thinking it is a problem with the ABS Pump and should be replaced or it is a ground somewhere. (Although I have looked so hard) U0121 Lost communications with electronic brake control module (EBCM) C0035 Left front wheel speed sensor circuit (even after replacing hub and sensor) C0110 Pump motor circuit C0242 Powertrain control module indicated traction control C0245 Wheel speed sensor frequency C0710-5A Steering position signal - Not plausible U0125 Lost communications with multi-axis acceleration sensor module U0126 Lost communications with multi-axis acceleration sensor module U0121 Lost communications with electronic brake control module (EBCM) Thanks!!! |

I’ve found that “loss of communication” is a good place to begin basic systematic troubleshooting when encountering such issues.
To find what a problem is you must find everything the problem isn’t. |

Throwing a bunch of codes is often bad battery or bad grounds. With the motor being swapped I'd look close at what ground connections should be clean and in place and didn't get lost during the swap out. There' s a few good diagrams on it here, I know the search function on here sucks, better to use google.
copy/paste this into google site:camaro5.com engine ground connections https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=221700 https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showt...=399658&page=4 https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=511228 I'm thinking along the lines of the post that is above me, before I finished searching to post this. Checking grounds and general cable plug-ins to make sure pins aren't pushed back or bent or a cable got mashed during the work. I'd do that first before trying to chase a single trouble code only, because of how many you got at once. |

Before replacing modules and sensors, look at wires in the engine compartment. Pinched wires or insulation melted from proximity to headers (if have them) recur in this forum.

1. There's a open or short in the pump motor windings 2. The relay in the ebcm is faulty 3. There's a problem with the power or ground going to the ebcm 4. The circuitry in the ebcm is faulty. After verifying the integrity of the power and ground to the ebcm (which I would expect a slew of other codes to be set if this were a problem) it can only be the module or the bpmv. The diagnostic from GM actually directs you to replace the bpmv first and if the code returns replace the ebcm! Try selling that to a customer! $2500 in parts plus labor. Because the ebcm mounts directly to the bpmv there is no way to tell which part is faulty. My advice is to start with the ebcm since you have to remove it first anyway and you don't have to fool with the brake lines. But don't be surprised if you still have to replace the bpmv as well. I've been down this road too many times that's why I sell both pieces from the start. |

I had C6 Vette, that it had a problem. I had to have the Yay sensor replaced under warranty.

If its the same part number you should be able to overwrite the program. The newer modules like 16 up you cannot

Nice info! I saw you said you work at a dealer near DC? Care if I ask which one? I worked in a couple body shops in northern Va and was in and out of a lot of the area dealers running parts and such. I grew up in the area and my family is mostly all still there.
