Rear upper shock mount question

I upgraded my upper shock mount in the rear of my 2011 SS. The new mounts have oblong mounting holes. So it seems that there is a discrepancy on the exact mounting location, since they can essentially twist a little before completely locking down the mounting bolts.. how should this be handled?

What did you upgrade to? Although I don't know that it matters for a shock mount. It isn't like the front that can change camber and caster.

Curious what mounts you went with as well, I Just got a Z/28 set. I am not aware of any adjustment or movement.

Are the oblong holes all in the same direction? and are there any holes that are not?

If some are in one direction and others are in a direction 90 degrees to the others it will still hold in place. If there is one small round hole and others are oblong it will also hold in place.

Can you post a pic?

They help with getting the bolts up into the body. It's pretty tight up there.
