Possible stupid question - Radiator flush

My radiator has a leak (diagnosed at dealership) dealership wants an arm and a leg to replace. Doesn't look hard to replace on my own... figure I should flush the radiator/engine... honestly don't recall last time I did coolant flush, so car could use a flush...

Ok stupid question time... should I do the flush with the new radiator or the old one?...if new one, would it be better to wait a week, run fresh coolant through system, drain flush and put new coolant in again...

Thanks for any advise/opinions :-)

I'd flush it a few times with clean water.
Pull the radiator and either replace with new or have a reputable radiator shop to the once over on it. Be sure to get a quote from them first. It might be less expensive to buy new.
