Opinions please: CGM 2 SS w/ Black stripes. Polished wheels or standard RS finish?
Hi Guys,
What are you thoughts. Polished or not? What are the benefits to each... and if my order is still at 1100 can I change it? I went with polished but I am second guessing myself. Thanks! |

Polished! Im not a big fan of the painted rims. They just look like dirty polished rims to me.

Personally I think the RS Midnight Silver finish is a better match for CGM than polished but neither option is bad IMO.

I saw one CGM with the RS rims and another non-RS. I think the RS matched it better.
Hence I seem to be waiting for the exact same car as you!

I looked at both and I like the MS rims on my CGM. There is not a huge difference in their appearance, imho. For $470 difference, I stayed with the MS. I think I'll have them powder coated dark gray anyway to match my car.

Midnight Silver will compliment your color scheme better.

I'd say polished.... Maybe give some thought to SIM stripes on CGM, I think it looks a little more up scale than black stripes ....

midnight they look great on the cgm and do not show the brake dust as much. and for the person that does not like painted, the polished are painted(coated) as well.

I have a cgm with the rs paint and I love them. The polished, however, do look great, but they give the car a 'Flashy' type of look. If you like chrome trim, the polish are for you. I like the stealthy look, flat blacks and such, so the rs paint caters to my preference. Are you flashy or stealthy? Hope this helps..

I vote midnight silver (RS wheels). I debated as well as I got a black camaro. I almost changed to polished but didn't and am so glad I didn't. The midnight silver finish to the wheels is way underrated. They are beautiful wheels. And i also like that the inside part of the wheel is painted black so it hides brake dust and road grime very well..and trust me those Brembos sure do make dust. Both beautiful wheels can't go wrong but I vote midnight silver.

I love my midnight silver, they match the car really well.
Plus the painted clean up much faster and easier. Plus polished can be ruined pretty easy with the wrong chemicals.
