A/C Belt P/N?

I'm looking for the P/N for the A/C belt on a LS3, I've tried four parts stores and none of them had anything.

Thanks!

I had found a thread somewhere while researching this where someone had posted a $250 cost from GM. That's a bit insane

I found some info on NAPA and Gates websites and some interchangeabilty. NAPA shows the 4PK982 to be the same as their 25-040388 belt. 982 mm = 38.7" so the 388 belt is close, but since this is a stretch fit belt, I'm wondering if that's close enough.
Then as I look into it even further, I see NAPA listing the special stretch-fit belts for the newer applications that don't use tensioners. Haven't got a conversion for that yet. Going to call them in the AM.

I saw where the P/N listed for the replacement belt on one of the smaller pulley mods was just a standard 4 rib serpentine belt. That makes me wonder if if they are gonna fit OK and last very long

Checking several parts stores on-line, I see many 6.2l GM's using the 040378 belts for the A/C, that's about an inch smaller and I don't know if they use a tensioner or not.

I'll see what Gene has too offer and if NAPA can help at all.

Went to pick up some stuff at the dealer, so I got a price on the belt. I think reg price was $50 something, my cost was $30 something. Had to order, should be in tomorrow.

Why pay for it??

It's a warrenty item, having mine replaced tomorrow.

Found mine frayed and split length wise when having other service done.
Techs think it was installed wrong at factory as only 2K miles on car when found.

Comp's LSr 277. Install hasn't been to bad so far considering this is my first LS engine, good thing I have a buddy that I can call who knows his stuff and has some tools. If you have experience with an LS, this is cake.
Right now I'm waiting for the dealer to get the correct cam bolt, they ordered me one for a L99. Big difference.
Installed Comp's 918 springs, waiting on their trunion upgrade kit and will be installing their push rods too.
Already have my tune from Vector Motor Sports.

Just waiting to hear back from the WS6store about that trunion kit.
