power steering issue
hello i have a serious issue with my power steering. I have a 2015 LT V6 with the LFX engine I had all the power steering fluid leak out, and it turns out to be a hose. its a steering rack outlet hose, or also called a return hose or lower hose. Part number 92249335. the problem is its been discontinued. if anyone knows where i can find one new, or used, or refurbished i would appreciate the help

Looking at the pictures that show up from that part number, it looks like something a good hydraulic hose shop could make up or maybe even just replace the rubber portions.
You might also be able to adapt the ends of the metal lines to take a compression fitting to AN line adaptor and replace the rubber portion with braided lines. I adopted the stock transmission cooler lines this way. Depends on the diameter of the steel lines. Beyond that, salvage yard for a used one. This part number shows as being used on the earlier model hydraulic steering V8 so shouldn't be to hard to find used. |

Several Camaro racks on EBAY right now that are pictured with the hose included for the $100-$150 shipped range.

Don't limit your search to the V6. You need to confirm, but what i see for that part number locked to be the earlier V8 models. All of that are hydraulic steering appear to be the same.

I'm still over on ebay I've contacted a few sellers to confirm that the return hose is included. I'm just not knowledgeable enough about it to tell if the correct hose is included from the photos. hopefully someone gets back to me. But i think you were very helpful by suggesting ebay. thanks again. It's hard to believe that GM doesn't still have a stock of these. looking on the GM parts it appears there are a lot of discontinued parts for the gen5 cars.

As already advised, you should consider a local shop that can make you replacement, rather than shady suppliers on eBay.
Where I live, the local NAPA store is also a fabricator of automotive hoses and hydraulic lines. |

I'll look into that there's a NAPA around the corner from me and it's not your general big box type NAPA. It's in a big building been there a long time. I'll walk over there tomorrow. I spent a couple hours on ebay and only found 3 that seem to have the hose I need included. Thanks for your suggestion
