Oil Weight
As experts on Super charged cars I would like your opinions on what weight t you use for normal oil changes. Some people think heavier like 15-40 or 20-50 some people say 5-30. this is a un touched LS3 with Heartbeat PD SC. Do you prefer Mobil One Shell Rotella? thoughts?

Fresh oil is good insurance. IMO, with your setup (you didn't mention driving style, racing or other mods), 5w-30 Mobil 1 is ideal. Walmart, 5qt, inexpensive and the Mobil 1 M1-113A oil filter.

Depending on the engine builder. If OEM Motor clearances are made for 5W-30 would be the recommended weight. Now that if for your street/strip car. If it is a race car, possible 5W-40 May work well while racing. For Example, in my motor that we build. we will be using SAE40 VR1. In a high-performance motor, you really don't want detergents in the oil, nor for the oil to really change viscosity. You want consistent protection. Which a change in viscosity CAN lead to foaming within crank and not really getting the true protection the oil as a lubricant offers.
