No drill fender flares?

Hey everyone, we just became to two Camaro family with the edition of my son's 2012 Rally Yellow LS. The car is low mileage and in great shape except for some fender damage. It is in a spot where paintless dent repair is not a good solution. I can either have body work done (no way am I replacing whole quarter panel) or, I was think, I could possibly just cover the area by installing fender trim or subtle flairs in black. Does anyone know of any such flares/trim that would work? Preferable no drill if possible. At least no drilling the outer fender. I will drill if necessary but would love to avoid it.

I would have the body work done, that’s not a full quarter repair. A good body guy can have that metal finished out with minimal mud pretty easily. I’d help if you were closer…

+1 on doing the repair. Being at a dealership did you try to bargain the repair into the final price? I bet your son is thrilled & congrats on your second Camaro in the family!

That's not that bad. As mentioned a good body shop can fix that pretty easily. And as for the "no drill" fender flares, there are none out there that I know of. I've looked many times for some. And the ones that you have to modify your fenders are just plain ugly!

Get a quote from some paintless dent repair guys like previously said. I've had some dings taken out before and now you can't see or feel them.

They can't get it out were it is located. They tried. The rolled fender lip prevents it.

When I got the Camaro Gen5, this first pic shows a fender dent(or it look like it was pulled out). The second pic is after they repaired the bumper(I know it's a far picture but you were able to see it from this distance when it was there) and had a guy PDR that in their shop and it's gone. He did mention that the fenders, especially with lips can be tricky. It bothered the heck out of me and I'm glad they hooked me up. PDR is an art. They're amazing!. You have a different issue because I was going to switch out the fender if I had to, it bugged me so much. Good luck!!!!

Fender flares will be the equivalent of covering a pimple with a turd, and on top of that they'll probably cause more paint damage so it'll look even worse if they ever have to come off.

Live with the dents or fix them properly.

I agree - I had a DentPro guy come out and it was amazing how great it looked after and it was worse than your photos! took him 2 hrs. and $400 but it looks perfect - he even buffed out the small scratches too!
