SLP Exhaust pipe - need help!

Hi Camaro lovers,

I want to change the original exhaust pipe system of my 2010 Camaro SS (Automatic). I want to put a realy loud one on it. I was thinking in a exhaust pipe from SLP - Part Number 30214. I want it to sound like the gray Camaro on the first video.

http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=30214

If I understand it right I have to add a SLP LM II axle-back exhaust to it. Can I only use the Part number they say - "#31212" or can I also change it for part number - "#31211"?

Part Number 31212 (with mufflers)
http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=31212

Part number 31211 (no mufflers)
http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=31211

Thanks for Help!!!

Go local

If you want load with no mufflers just take it to a local muffler shop and put straight pipes and the tips from the factory setup, hell of a lot faster and cheaper.

If you want it loud then why are you going with Loudmouth II?? Loudmouth I is a lot louder than II. But Loudmouth I is basically a muffler delete so like the above post said, just get straight pipes and weld the tips.

Do I need to weld the Loud Mouth II Pipes too or can I just conect them and screw them on?

If you buy just the LMII axle back u have to weld it to the existing cat-back but if you get the full system with the headers and x-pipe then its all bolt on i believe.

Perfect! I want to get the full thing - Header Package with the x crossover pipe and add the loud mouth to it. Will there be a big difference in the sound between Loud mouth 2 and loud mouth 1 if I change also the headers and the x pipe?

Thanks for the great help guys!

The LMII does not need to be welded on for a stand alone installation. It comes with clamps that attach it to the car and the existing attachment points. If you have access to a lift it is about a 45 min. job.

If your running LT's and Hi-Flo cats and the complete 3" SLP set up i would go with the LM I which is also 3".....i beleive that the LM II is only available in 2 1/2"

I spoke with my Chevrolet dealer today. He would install it for me. He only had one question about all the sensors that are attached at the exhaust pipe to measure the power flow, ect.. He needs to know if all of the measuring results are the same as by the standard exhaust system or if there are changes. If there are changes the car will show a red light at the dashboard telling me to check the engine because the car will think than that something is wrong. Can someone help me with that point?

SS Power, from what I have read on here, the O2 sensor light probably will show its code, and I don't know if the Chevy Dealer will Tune UR ECM to accept that, read more in these thread throughout forum and you'll see what folks are doing. most go to a speed shop for a dyno tune, and others get a handheld tuner...
