It depends on the dyno' too. Mustang and Dyno' Dynamics dynos' are typically more conservative than Dynojets but correction factors can also affect output numbers.

Those are great numbers. And conditions come into play. There's no magic number for a guaranteed rwhp to flywheel hp conversion. 15 percent is a generalization, but without adding in all factors like humidity and temperature, you can't just say it has more power than the SAE rates it at. It's entirely possible that the engine was dynoed at good conditions so it made just the right amount of power.
And after owning a heavier car with a different suspension setup than a Corvette with the same motor, It was a general rule that our cars (GTOS) would make less power with the same motor. The average LS2 GTO would dyno 340-350hp. The Average Corvette dyno we would see was a bit higher. Not by much... So the Camaro may dyno a tad lower. Like maybe 10 or so horses... Just my experience... That depends on how efficient the Camaro's suspension is. |
