2010 Camaro SS (LS3) Ticking/Injector Noise

https://youtube.com/shorts/sV0TSo9wkok?feature=share

Hi folks! Recently picked up a 2010 Camaro 2SS with 12k original miles on it. It runs great and performs fantastic, but I have noticed a bit of a weird sound coming from the engine bay. It's captured pretty well on this video and it sounds to me like either really loud injector noise or a lifter tick. The car was warmed up when I took this video, and I am using 93 octane gas. I haven't owned a V8 before (much less an LS) so it may be that I'm not used to the noises they make. Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds pretty normal to me. Also you will notice that sometimes sitting at a red light while idleing in gear the engine will sometimes seem like it is "shaking" for a second or two, I have read on here over the years that they refer to that as the "LS" shake. My L99 used to do that, but now with the big cam she shakes all over the place, and all the time!! lol. Enjoy your new Camaro !! Also, welcome to our Camaro family!!

Not sure what normal means, but to me it sounds like you have a lifter making extra noise.

Is there a way that I could confirm whether or not that's the case without pulling apart the engine? I have access to a mechanic stethoscope and can certainly pull off the valve covers if need be.

This. If you are concerned about it, you could go from cylinder to cylinder and listen to them where the intake manifold contacts the head. You will also notice that sometimes the fuel injectors are quite noisey as well. But again, that is normal for these engines.

As it turns out, you were right, thankfully. The when I put the stethoscope on the injectors they are super loud and make a surprising amount of percussive noise. No weird sound coming from anywhere else on the engine when I tap there.

Awesome, glad you figured that out! Yea, when my Camaro was new and I heard all those noises, I wondered as well what was going on, and with the help of this forum and all the "informed" guys, it was all normal. Never had an issue after that.
