Are the factory leather seat covers removable?

I will be getting my SIM SS with black leather in a week or so and would like to add some CF look leather inserts to the seats and was wondering if the leather could be removed from the seats without messing it up so I could have some inserts installed without having to replace all the leather.. Something similar to this but with different material for the inserts.

Removing the factory covers and removing the center section and replacing it with a different material is possible, you just need to do your homework and find a capable local custom interior shop to do this work for you. Good luck and post progress pics. You know how we LOVE pics.....

Cool, thanks man.. I will definitely post pics when I get it done, although it will be a while since I just dropped alot of money into other parts for when the car gets here!!

Yeah ive seen your stuff (very nice). I dont want to change out all of the leather though, just add some inserts.
