Carbon fibre radiator cover

Can anybody who has had a carbon fibre radiator cover installed for more than a year or two please let me know how it’s holding up? I’m about to order one but it’s going to cost me $850 Canadian to get it to my door and I am wondering if it’s a worthwhile aesthetic investment. I understand it’s something you have to treat like a paint job when it comes to upkeep.

Just under 2 years with mine. Zero complaints. Looks great and light as heck.

Thanks for the reply, looks great installed. I got impatient and posted it under the ZL1 hoping to get a response. Ps have you thought about getting the roto fab coolant cover, it’s one of the first mods I did when I got the car.

No problem. Have not thought about any covers…not interested in adding any weight (not that the cover is much, grant you).

Sorry just my OCD, every time I see a Camaro hood open my eyes drawn to that bright orange tank that looks like it just does not belong. it reminds me of that Austin Powers skit where the guy has a mole on his face, Austin keeps saying moly, moly, moly, moly.

Thanks! Yeah that’s actually an older pic with my “old” 2.9 blower and those stainless lines went to the ice tank. Probably should post up a newer pic with the new 3.0 blower.

That one's aluminum or stainless stell with a faux or at least a super thin carbon fiber top layer, though, so there go your weight savings, and (subjectively) it doesn't look half as gorgeous as the real thing Josh has (and now I, too).
