When I read how "Hallowed" is the Z/28 name and that GM will not put it on a Camaro unless it is deserving of it, I just think of marketing.
C'mon, I recall a HOT ROD magazine shoot where they had to put water down so it could spin its wheels. Must have been around 1980. There were Z/28 dogs.

Yes I realize the SS Camaro is faster (12.9 etc) before you start bashing.

Awesome, did you do this or were with someone? I asked this question a few months back about the V6 taking on the Impala SS and Monte SS (V8) and everyone said the V8 would win hands down. I wish there was a video of this.

HMM, those run low 14's stock, at least I know the Grand Prix GXP's did, and they are the same car basically. We just traded our 07 Grand Prix GXP. It would beat a V6 Camaro off the line for sure.

It's worth noting that the first generation Camaros are substantially slower than the current Camaro SS. In fact, a Camaro LS would smash a classic Camaro SS at the track. This reflects well on 2 things at GM. The first positive point is that GM engineered the products of today to beat yesterday's standards. The second point is that GM didn't gimp the V6. That LLT motor is fierce. Anyone who disagrees can taste the exhaust smoke of your V6 at the track.

Skinny tires.
They had more HP,TQ, and weighed about 500 lbs. less too.
