Is this a good idea...or a great one?

So, there is a police check point outside my apt complex. I've already been through it and they are just checking to make sure people have their license and insurance.

My fantastic idea: Drive by them blasting "Bad Boys". It'd make my day, but is there anything they can do?

Why not drive up, shake their hand and tell them how much you appreciate them catching the 'slackers' of the community. You'd probably make their day and they might even remember your car/face next time you may happen to get pulled over for something!

What is the local noise ordinace. If they hear it at a certain distance from the vehicle you could get cited.

Why? Ask yourself what good can come from it, and what possible negative reprecussions could come from it.....I can't see anything good coming from it, but a laundry list of bad stuff depending on how it's received.

Don't take this the wrong way, but If this is a highlight of a Saturday in Alabama you need to think about moving far far away immediately and seeking out a life, because it's one of the silliest things I've ever heard..

Oh Good Lord.... Let's not start another Police Bashing dialogue here.

Just like in everyone's daily life, there a good people and bad people. I have a lot of respect for most Law Enforcement Officers. They work hard and put their lives on the line in a lot of cases.

Those about whom I have lost respect, are another story and aren't worth the time to enter into a dialogue......

My thinking is, make their day, liek mentioned above... THank them for weeding out the slackers ..... Pay it forward - So to Speak!

There's really only one way to take that.

I don't even think it's insulting, just funny. "**** tha Police" would be insulting. Anyhow, I'm not going to do it, but I still think it'd be funny.

i would find it amusing, i usually joke around with police on our encounters (mostly not bad encounters)

my roommate and i will ask them how fast their cars/bikes can go in a curious manner

ask them "Is it cause i'm white?" (sarcastically serious)

joke about the gerbils in my old car (geo metro)

offer them mexican food, or whatever i happened to have

Ex-military cops, i'll make jokes against their branch. or an old submariner i told him he was already gonna hate me - its my job to hunt subs lol.

in MY experience, as long as ur not doing anything wrong or disrupting anything they have no reason not to share a laugh with ya. Just like anyones job, gotta be serious when needed and relax a bit when u can.

Big thanks to all our Law Enforcement Officers out there!
