Pinks-All-Out and Credit Card Ready

So... I am very axious about this but I am going to try and get in the Pinks-All-Out event. I went with a buddy who got in last year, he got in already this year for Richmond, VA. It is an awesome time.

Anyway, so I have my credit card ready so if I get signed up I can purchase all the performance parts I want for the event. Figured I would share the list and hear whatever comments you guys have:

Precision Industries Torque Converter (2800 stall)
BMR Fabrication Trailing Arms
BMR Fabrication Front Driveshaft Loop
MAST Motorsports Stage II VVT Camshaft
Nitto NT555R 275/40/20 Drag Radials
ARH Long Tubes
Flowmaster Axle Back
Jet Performance Mass Air Sensor
Vararam CAI (already ordered)

Already have:
HP Tuners
160 degree Thermostat
Guy who will dyno and tune for me and help me along the way.

I'm excited, now to just beat the 9000 people who will try to get into the event

Are there different categories/brackets for cars in the event? If not, I'd imagine you'd have a hard time beat the guys with some type of altered injection. Either way, good luck!

yeah, usually the cars on the show are deep 10's. You show up and run your car and they decide there. I thought it was first come first serve too. Oh and dont waste your money on a MAF.

They basically pick the class that day, depending on who they feel will give the crowd the best show.

I always liked Pinks and my hubby and kids went last year when the show came to Englishtown. It was a loooong day with a lot of down time, but it was definitely interesting.

Good luck, Ricky!

I think you should get the cat back with x pipe and headers. I agree you don't need the MAF.

Good luck and have fun. I will be watching to see if you get in. I am betting they will want a 2010 Camaro on the show!

Do you know yet when it will air?

Sounds great, I'd love to make it to one of these events, but not race since I have an LT and not an SS. Anyways it probably wont air for a while. Here is there schedule and where they will be. http://www.speedtv.com/programs/pink...ents-schedule/

I was thinking the same thing. Also I don't see high flow cats on there. Make sure you can get some hi-flow cats for some better gains with the tune.

There are 5 classes, sub 8s, 9s, 10s, 11s, 12s

They run all day to qualify for the event, then at about 6:00 at night they determine which class they want for the best show. Last year when we went it was 9s since it was the first time they ever had enough to run the event in the 9s bracket.

If I get into the 11s I will have a good shot, but at least the 12s, its worth the fun and excitement, you still get a little tv time (like a couple seconds) if you are there and running, but the main event is determined by class based on the decision of the guys running it.

It is first come first serve, so that is why I have to fight 9000 people for 400 spots :-). I will skip the MAF thanks guys!

No - will probably find air dates a month or two after filming. I figure even if I don't run the final event, I will get some film time with the car

You're going to want to reduce the weight of the car and add forced induction. You'll be up against some serious competition with no desire to protect their warranties. I'd recommend some Seibon exterior carbon fiber parts, like doors, a trunk, and fenders. Pick your favorite supercharger.

If you can get to the bottom of one of those brackets, like the 11s, then you'll have good odds.

Seems pretty high risk but could be high reward. I have never watched a full show but if you lose, you lose the car, right? So, if you dump all that money into it, and lose, not only do you lose your car but you are out all the money as well.

Does that about sum it up or am I missing something?

Went to the Pinks race at Concord, NC last year. It was great. I think they announced when the show would air while we were there. Have fun and show em what a 2010 Camaro can do.

NO, They have an elimination and the final car wins $10,000 cash plus $8,000 or so in tools.
