Red face Burnout procedure for A/T )))

How to properly perform a burnout on a 2011 Camaro SS with automatic transmission?

Do I need to completely turn off the traction control (holding the button for a long time) or switch the Stabilitrack to Competetive mode? Do I need to put the transmission in M (S) mode?

I tried to switch the Stabilitrack to Competetive mode, set A/T to M, the rpm grew to 4000 but nothing happened, the car pulled forward with the brakes applied

and two more related questions

1) What is the purpose of the Competetive mode on the 5th gen?

2) Is there a system for redistributing pressure on the brakes from rear to front and how does it work (or how to turn it on)?

In 2010 i do : T/C off and holding the button for a long time to Stabilitrack mode.
D or S mode,it does not matter.

Btw.When both TCS and StabiliTrak lights are on, the vehicle is in Competitive Mode.
Competitive Driving Mode allows full engine power while the StabiliTrak system helps maintain directional control of the vehicle by selective brake application. In this mode, TCS is off and Launch Control is available. Adjust your driving style to account for the available engine power.

Nothing happens, car moves forward on the brakes, overcoming the force. The brakes are new (front Powerstop, rear Akebono), fluid changed more than 1 quart.

TC completely off, A/T in M mode, gear 1 selected.

Is there a pressure relief system for the rear wheels?

Is this Camaro totally stock? I ask because my car was a PITA to do burnouts in before I started modding, especially the tune. So don't worry, this is not the first time I have seen someone with the 6L80e struggling to do burnouts.

Yes there are multiple things that are recommended to be turned off in the tune for a good burnout.

PITA - Pain In The A$$

I know stock I just did like stated above, hold down the traction control button for 6-8 seconds to turn everything off and it spun the tires. Now I just have to press the gas pedal.

Both of mine when stock had no problems letting them eat with the Nannie’s off. Are you holding the brakes to tight? All you really need to do is hold the brake tight enough to get the weight shifted to the front then once you feel that happen release the brakes slightly and get on the skinny pedal and it should take off.

i can confirm that burnout is not working on SS with AT. I tried several times on all modes .... it's good way to break the brakes
