BaT Sale

2015 Z28 1,100 miles sold for $61,000. Seems like the market has really taken a hit on these cars.

Mines got 1,093 miles. Would have thought it worth a lot more!

Like I said previously, enthusiasts are sleeping on the Z. It such a great car and I love mine.

E46 M3 with Laguna Seca Blue went for over 100k! Shelby Mustangs go higher too.

Chevy does not command a high premium it seems....

This was a week long exposure to a car sight unseen, by a motivated seller, in an economy that has 8% interest rates on NEW car loans, let alone 10+ yr old cars that average $60k+ currently. Few lenders offer loans past 8-12 yrs. If they do, rates are comical. This same car, new, didn't sell for $61k, more than likely. Pre-covid this was a $45k car.

Educated and appreciative consumers of these cars will seek them out and pay for them appropriately.

Well bought example for certain

I read the comments, and the "seller" did not know anything about the car and was selling for someone else. This is like blood in the water for shark buyers to bid low, IMHO. The auction ended middle of the week, with most Z/28 buyers working.

I also look at prices and there is always a +/- variance (5%? 10%?) around the median price and this was on the lower side IMHO. Should have sold closer to $70K with a little better communication and information by a real owner.

in my opinion it's pretty simple:
GM never did any decent marketing for the Camaro. there was basically no marketing for the Z/28.
Shelby is a recognized name in the entire world, same as for BMW. Z/28 is a label that, barely says something to Americans. There's ZERO knowledge of Camaro and Z/28 in rest of world.

To see the z/28 come up in value we will have to wait until it will become a classic and people will gradually start to re-discover it. That means between 2030 to 2040. There's still plenty of time.

This simply proves NOBODY knows the formula for how a car will/should appreciate/depreciate in value.

Sellers want to sell, the price today will have to drop to make up for the crappy interest rates and other financial ruinous situations at hand.

Maybe we'll find out by sayyyyyyy........the first Wednesday in November if things will start to be looking up again instead of getting shafted in the azz even deeper.

Could be LS7 valve issue that's impeding interest?
