Yep. Saw this the other day and of course immediately thought "That means the 5th gen can have them too!"

If only that transmission wasn't massively expensive.

Pretty cool someone finally figured it out. I’m sure that’s a pricey swap outside of the physical transmission costs.

The gear ratios are going to be way to deep on the 10speed on the bottom end , no?

I'm no expert but they're using these tranny's in run in the mill Silverado's with 5.3 and 6.2 motors that are certainly not forged AND have DFM lifters on EVERY friggin cylinder.

Yes the transmission was developed for the trucks..but the trans was also meant to go in passenger cars that is why the Alpha platforms tunnel was so wide.

Almost everything GM develops has the trucks in mind as that is where the money is.

That does not mean they forget about the Vette ,Camaro and the Caddies this trans would not fit the Vette tunnel though and they had a DCT in development.

The calibration is completely different for the performance vehicles.

Ford and GM jointly developed this unit and their calibrations are completely different as well .

Car and Driver drove a Camaro ZL1 equipped with an A10 around VIR and beat the M6 they ran a year earlier by 7/10 ths of a second leaving it in sport mode
