BTR's New Camshafts
Hey all,
Has anyone in here tried BTR's new updated LS3 v2 Camshafts? I have the old BTR Stage 3, but those dyno sheets on their website look real tempting to try something new with their better updated specs and power! Even their new little Stage 1 v2, any guesses on gains? |

I have seen them but unless you were going with a even bigger cam I wouldn't bother. What are the gains for the same "stage" cam 10-15hp? Not worth it unless maybe a new stage 4 cam and you are doing the work yourself. Now if money isn't a problem maybe a stage 4 with ported heads.....maybe 35+hp?
All depends on your goals but depends what you are doing with the car. Does it ever go to the track? Just a weekend cruiser? Again, me personally if I was putting a cam in an already cammed car I would go the biggest I could or what is the point? |

Looks like you already have heads. I would rather go forced induction at that point. You can't really feel 10-15hp.... now if you have a cam that revs higher that is always interesting with more rpm but power wise I don't think you are going to gain a real lot from a newer stage 3. Maybe throw a ported intake, tb and stage 4 cam and you can see some top end results. LOD intake... pull those top end numbers, stroker, or FI?
