Rough day yesterday
I was heading to work yesterday in the Camaro and got caught up in 2 other guys road rage incident. One brake checked the other, which resulted in him swerving into the my lane clipping the passenger fender and front bumper. I’m fine but pretty damn wounded. Hagerty is on it. I was not faulted on the police report(obviously) it was just a wrong place wrong time deal. Hopefully it won’t take too long to get it fixed and I’m insisting on all GM parts even if it takes some time to get parts rounded up. Also there will be no paint blending of other panels so none of the factory paint on the door and hood and A-pillar are effected. I’m still pretty bummed but glad it wasn’t worse. I’m grateful to be able to walk away.
These cars are pretty damn tough, the damage to the Toyota solora that hit me was a lot worse.

Glad you're ok. It could have been worse.
As for the Camaro it is pretty tough and once it's fixed will hopefully soldier on for many more years. Driving to work about five years ago it was dark and I ran into a spare tire that went under the front bumper. It's not noticeable but I know the damage is there. I think of it like my wifes v*gina after kids. It will never be the same but gets much more of my respect. Last edited by detamble13; 08-22-2024 at 03:05 PM. |

Unfortunately, they’re out there thicker than flies, nowadays.
Great that you’re ok and the damage was limited.

Thanks guys! It doesn’t hurt as bad today as it did yesterday. I drove it today and luckily it still drives straight and runs good, just looks a little rough. I can’t wait to get it back to tip top shape. It’s like the Wild West out there seems like most everywhere. That’s why I always carry my .45. Luckily I haven’t had to use it but you never can tell how retarded people are going to act these days.

Luckily you are OK and also luckily.... They didn't damage any of the impossible to find parts. SS bumper, SLP splitter, fender, hood... It does look like Maybe the heritage grille is ok... But i can't really tell with the way the picture is turned. I am sure that you will bring it back even better!

Yeah for sure. The hood is actually completely un-hurt. The fender bumper and corner of the splitter got it all. And a small scuff on the wheel that I think I can polish out. The GM heritage is still perfect as far as I can see.

That just completely sucks a$$! I know you're physically OK but the emotional cocktail of anger and frustration (along with a bit of sadness) has to be really tough to deal with. Knowing you it will be back to nearly new condition but from what I've been reading you're kinda stretched thin for time between work and family. You didn't need this to happen ever, especially now.

Sorry to hear it brother, glad you are OK!
Maybe be a chance to work on some paint for your side skirts if you haven't painted them yet.

Really sorry to hear and along with everyone else glad you are ok and that your Camaro is reparable. Still sucks to have your pristine car caught up in this though.

Time to make a dr appointment to get your neck and back pain checked. I'd also sue the insurance company for depreciated value after that accident now will be on your VIN forever.
