Shaking Under Heavy Braking on Track
I have been getting some shaking/shuddering under heavy braking on track.
In about 3-5 laps it starts to show and gets worse the longer I lap. After about 2 cool laps, it gets better but starts back up when I pick up the pace again, it starts again. It defiantly feels more like it is coming from the rear. The steering wheel does not shake at all when it is happening. I replaced the rear brakes and pads thinking it was poor pad bed-in or a warped rotor. The shake still shows up. Does not shake at all when on throttle or off throttle. Only when braking medium to hard. Also NEVER shows on the street. Something is obviously getting hot and causing this. It sucks to spend half of my session cooling off whatever it is. What else should I check over?

Could be caliper hanging up when hot.

I fought this on the street under hard braking with new Hawk pads and drilled and slotted Powerstop rotors. Mine was more from the front. I had to switch pads but can't remember who's I used. It was a better grade auto parts store brand.
I re-burnished them and it still did it a little but eventually went away. The break-in thing is really important to lay down a layer of burned pad material onto the rotor. Seems like our cars like the OE Brembo setup the most. Maybe the most forgiving? Try and find some good Raybestos pads, reseat them and it should help - if a rotor isn't bad.
