10 speed auto now available for swaps!

Don't know if you all heard about this yet?

Has anyone seen any testing on the 10-speed auto? This could definitely be a game changer on a modified Gen 5 ZL1.

So 9k for the trans and 3k for the harness/controller

I hardly seems worth it unless you have unlimited funds.

I'm very interested in this. If I ever give up the stick shift game, this will be my move. Probably take 5-7 tenths off my ET!

It is definitely not cheap but what is when modding a car. I would assume it would be worth a few tenths over a 6l80 in the 1/4 mile and the way I understand the newer 10 speeds they really don't do to many gear swaps as it isn't really needed and doesn't benefit the same way the 6l80e does.

But that new 10 speed auto in the 6th gen and the differently tuned version in the 5.0 has some very quick shifts even stock.

Run a stock 6 speed stick 5.0 or LT1 and then the 10 speed auto. Massive difference. They run .5 a second or more sometimes faster than the stick shift version.

The days of the automatic being a penalty are long gone.If the 6l80e came paired to the Ls3 from the factory it would be significantly faster from the factory. I remember the first time I drove a stock L99 and wasn't to impressed but I drove a Chevy SS sedan with the LS3 and automatic and I said holy crap this thing is soooo much faster than the L99. I think they were 2-3 tenths faster than the L99 stock and it is a heavier car than a camaro as well.
