The camaro had to go back to the dealer shortly after I installed the Airaid intake to get a ding in the door (from shipping) repaired and they said nice intake. Cant say for sure about other dealers but mine doesn't have a problem with it.

Depends on dealer I guess. I wish I could find a mod friendly dealer.

I was having trans problems in my truck, I left my Dashhawk on the dash, plugs into the OBDII port, they were trying to tell me that was the cause and said it changed the trans shift points. Get real!.

My dealership sells CAI in the Parts Department. My reprevious car, a Honda Element, I had an InJen CAI on it and the dealership had no issue with it and I don't suspect my Chevy dealer will either. I told them what my plans were before I bought it and they were like "Sweet! We can see you like doing things to make your car perform better and look good!"

I emailed a few of the service dept's around my area to see what they said and all said that the CAI *could* void my warranty if it caused a problem but one of them also offered to install one if I brought it to them , lol.

yeah i understand that it 'could' void the warranty if something with the engine breaks....but i dont want to bring it in for an oil change and have them say i voided the warranty even though im not there because of a broken engine....i guess i could risk it and just go and see what they do but then again i dont want my warranty voided hhahaha

Everything I have heard and read points to them having to prove that it caused whatever part you are having serviced to break for them to deny service on that particular part and there is a ton of info on this site that states that there is no way they are going to just void your whole warranty in any case by just seeing a CAI.

Keep in mind that they also sell a GM version of one and it is not like you are changing the tuning...

Just keep your old intake handy. If your engine blows up, just put your oem system back on. It only takes a few minutes.
