Factory Alarm Information

This may be the wrong forum, if it is, I'm sure it will get moved - but I have questions about the factory security built in. State Farm gives discounts for alarms on a "sliding scale" based upon features, etc. I've heard lots of good things about the security built in, but my agent says one big thing they look at is battery backup for the alarm. So one main question is "is the alarm hooked into a battery backup (maybe uses the battery backup for the on star system)? Is there a list of features? I looked at the manual, but wondering if there was more technical information.

Thanks!!

Paul

Nope, don't think so. I think the factory alarm is very poor anyway - even though most alarms - including OnStar & LoJack can be easily defeated...

There are a few threads on the alarm system...
