Repair or no

Debating whether to try and have this repaired. I think it's contributing to some vibration I have. Doesn't actually look as bad in person, but it's definitely bent. The thing is if I repair it, I suspect they'll have to redo the powdercoat as well. And I'm betting the repair and powder together are not too much less than buying a new one for $350+tax. Anyone gone through repairing a bent one? Curious how it went and pricing.

I messed up one of my Feradda's on the front, but it didn't bend the wheel, looked pretty bad to me, so I just bought another wheel for 540 bucks, and have the damaged one in my parts room just sitting.

That sucks. I would go with a new one. I agree that the cost of a repair will be close if not more.

I just ordered one. Got tired of thinking about it.

That is a good choice. I think if you did have it fixed it would probably still bother you. If it holds air, maybe mount a tire for an emergency. I would be more worried about structural integrity either way. It might might have internal cracking that could get worse with a repair & come apart or last forever.

That ended up being part of my thinking. Too many maybe's. Easier just to throw on a new one and be done.

Totally agree here, good choice! And as mentioned, and my thoughts with mine as well, that "what if" came up of structural damage you can't see that might pop up later on down the road, just not worth the risk. It could have cause even more damage if it came apart at speed..
