quickjacks now come with fittings already attached
hello folks,
i bought a quickjack (5000tlx) last week and when learning about it saw that , by far, the most common issue was leaking fluid from the quick release fittings. some poeple used teflon and the liquid thread locker, other used just teflon, other just thread locker and generally speaking many had problems anyway. well, now the quickjacks come with fittings already installed ![]() i’ll let you know if it leaks

Good info thank you.
I bought a 5000TL but I haven't assembled it or used the jack yet. |

Can you tell me how you use them with your Z28 and where you do you lift from?
TIA |

unfortunately I will be able to complete installation during next weekend. they need an air compressor (or a tyre pump) and I have none at the moment (my z28 is at the shop to swap ccb out for girodisc). It also require you to purchase ~2 liters of hydraulic oil.
as for the lifting points I'd assume I will use exactly the same I've used with normal manual jack.

I've got the discontinued 5000 SLX model. Works great for my Camaros and my C5 Vette. I use the ZL1 Addons magnetic lift pads at the pinch weld points. Oil changes are MUCH easier!

Awe man, you're killin' me.
LOL! Unfortunately my C5 track car is up on the QJ at the moment as I've got a track day coming up. Here's a pic of the QJ block in close proximity to the magnetic ZL1 Addons pad on the pinch weld point on my Z. Trust me, if you can change your oil you'll have no problem with the Quick Jack.

Pinch weld adapters in the green squares and jack.
Jack stands at the green arrows (preferably round head ESCO stands) Thats how ive always done it. For a QJ, pinch weld adapters in the green square, blocks, and then lift. (Dont use that front crossmember, ive x’d it out of this photo.i would never lift my car there) |
