LS3 ticking

I just installed a BTR Stage 2 V2 NA cam (221/24x)

Replaced: Delphi LS7 Lifters, Dual Valve springs, Hardened pushrods 7.425", BTR Stage 2 V2 NA Cam

I am having this ticking noise, friend said it sounds like a fuel injector, I tightened the header bolts and still get the noise on the passenger side of the car.

Oil pressure at 215 degrees temp is running just under 30 PSI, nothing out of the ordinary.

Update: Not fixed, I unplugged the passenger side fuel injectors 1 by 1 to see if the sound went away on any, it didnt.

Could it be the spark plugs not being fully tightened

Edit: Not the spark plugs they are all fully tight

Did you use a pushrod tool to confirm length?

didnt use a pushrod tool, spoke to 4 people at BTR told them my exact specs I was running and all of them recommended the 7.425" hardened pushrods which I already had from my last cam

You might need to go back to 7.4 push rods. I would recommend not running that engine until you figure this out. Have you asked your tuner what they think?

I was thinking the same thing here, and what acutron said, most of the guys using a stage 2 or 3 cams like I'm running are running the 7.400 pushrods. I have the TSP Stage 3 in mine. Always good to use a length checker to get it correct. I could see using a longer pushrod if you were using the shorter Johnson or linkbar lifters, as they from what I understand, are shorter then the normal LS7's.. Correct me if I'm wrong guys.

Figured out the issue. The flange of my headers 3 out of 4 the welds on them busted off causing an exhaust leak (heard in the original video).

So I was right about the headers being tight but didnt realize they busted where it was welded together

What brand are the headers? Did you have the length of the pushrods measured just in case?
