Quickjack 7000SLX

As the title reads.... Quickjack 7000SLX, does it work with the 5th gen camaro (without extensions)?

Yes it does! But it's close in the rear with the ZL1-addons style pucks. I favored the front contact a bit more (due to engine weight).

It's sturdier than it looks in the rear, but I'd still be placing jackstands to be safe.

Below are some pics with my 2010 2SS. I might get the "flat"/disc-like magnetic pucks instead, I think they'll make better contact with the rear blocks.

I have the 5000 series and I use the extensions, it was to close for comfort for me. The car is very sturdy on them.

I love mine. I learned always lock it out and then relieve the pressure or you can blow a valve in it. I had my 2SS Camaro up and down endless times while adjusting the Coilovers, and eventually one of the valves crapped out and leaked and tipped the car over sideways which scared the crap out of me.

Thanks for the information!

I am considering getting these. Are these the ones recommended for our cars? I know they make them in different sizes. It is important to me that I can use them without fear of impending death. I don't know why, but my Camaro has always been the one car that makes me nervous when I am under it, compared to all of my other cars. I think it's because even lifted, its still so low and cramped.

It was between bthe 5,000 and 7,000 series for me either one will work, I went 5,000 but I'd probably go 7,000 just because of other vehicles which are heavier f I had to do it again. I didn't get the extended one since it may not fit under other vehicles so I got the regular with the extension option and it fits great. Since I added the extension I do have drive the front of my car onto blocks so I can fit it under.

I've got a 5000TL + extensions. Should have gotten the TLX to begin with, but I was a bonehead on measurements. 5000 TL works fine on the Camaro. I just needed the extension for other stuff. As is, it works well on Jeep Grand Cherokee, Cadi CTS VSport, and Camaro. It has been well worth the investment.

The regular version without ext don't reach my factory lift points with ZL1 add on pads safely.

I ordered those exact pucks and they arrived today. I think they'll give me a little more peace of mind on the rear pucks and also stabilize on the blocks better. I'm going to be doing coilovers this week/weekend!

And wow! That's not good.... that would scare the crap out of me too.

I originally got the previous gen model (SLX) to fit a Corvette & 911, but still have a higher weight rating for my truck. I'm considering selling and putting a 2 post in my barn. Probably should have done that to begin with.

Wish I would have gotten the 7000TLX. Originally got the SLX to fit a C7 Corvette as the spread was too long (min spread) for the newer TLX.

Like you said, it works fine. My SLX has the same max spread as the new TL I believe. It's close in the rear, but nothing really made me nervous putting it up (movement/slipping). Still going to throw stands under it for peace of mind.

I think the 7000TLX would be perfect for the Camaro if you are buying new. I got the SLX since it was discounted (older model) and could fit my C7.

The new 7000TLX is 6" longer than the SLX (pictured), so it would fit the lift points just fine.
